The method of firing using horsehair creates a one of a kind piece of artwork. When the pot is pulled from the kiln at about 1700 degrees, horsehair is placed on the pot, and it begins to wiggle, squiggle and burn - leaving a carbon imprint in the clay.
This vase can be purchased as pictured, or it can be created especially for you using hair from your own horse. Simply buy this listing and let me know in the comment section, or by convo, that you are sending me hair from your horse to use in the firing. I'll convo you with my address and then begin to make a vase, which should be finished by the time your horsehair arrives at my door.
