Mysterious, ethereal and just beyond our grasp, the rich patterning of this lovely piece of persimmon moctezuma agate reminds me of the vast space above.
The tear drop of stone is securely encased in a strip of fine silver and nestled in a shadow box style setting. The contrast of the bright and oxidized silver accentuate the stunning little cabochon while not detracting from it.
The setting measures 27 by 20mm (1 by 3/4 inches) and sits atop an 8mm wide, sterling band in a size 6.5 which can not be resized. The back of the piece bears a small plaque with my initials "esw" and identifies me as the creator of this piece.
*Please note that due to the width of the band, the ring may fit slightly snugger (ie 1/2 to 1/4 size smaller) than a skinnier, size 6.5, band.*
This ring was made entirely from scratch employing only recycled precious metal (silver). Please see my profile for more information about recycled metals.
