I uncover a lot of Depression Glass, and it always breaks my heart to see these pretty treasures broken and covered with years of dirt, moss and leaves. This glass was made in great quantities during the 1930's and 1940's, known for the pretty delicate colors and embossing patterns, now known simply as Depression Glass.
This pendant is cut from the remains of vintage reclaimed dishware, and reflects the pretty Cherry Blossom pattern so popular during that era. The glass measures 5/8" x 5/8". Hand drilled and hangs from a hand hammered sterling ribbon it hangs from a 16" sterling snake chain. Note, the embossing will vary slightly from piece to piece, but each is carefuly hand cut to reflect the pretty original Cherry Blossom pattern.
Each piece of Bottled Up Designs comes with "The Story of the Glass" detailing what the glass was originally and the age of the piece.
