A teeny tiny stapler, disguised as a fountain pen. The silver cap has the classic clip to attach to your shirt pocket. Need to staple something, repair your hem, shorten your curtains? Remove the silver cap and presto, a handy little tool is revealed. The other end unscrews to load staples.
This cool pocket stapler was made from the early 50s to the 70s, and was primarily used in advertising promotions. This one was engraved as a "token of appreciation" to Dr. N.L. Criss. The staples are very small, about 1/4" across with teeny little 1/8" legs. This one still has some staples loaded in the chamber, about 50 or so. Replacement staples are no longer easily available, but can be found if you keep your eyes peeled (see link below). Stapler is in excellent condition, works great.
Duo-Fast began in the Chicago area in 1937, as Fastener Corporation. Some of their products were sold under the Duo-Fast brand name which became so well known it was eventually adopted as the official corporate name. Currently Duo-Fast manufactures larger pneumatic staplers, nailers and tackers.
