"On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me...."
My mosaic style of glass painting takes on a cherished theme for the holidays. Elegant and whimsical, the branches are designed from black mosaic "tiles" that are carefully hand painted so that the tiles do not touch. This creates a thin border of clear glass around each tile piece so that your wines can interact with the art.
The two stemless wine glasses feature my design of maroon and white turtle doves which are each perched on a branch to face each other. A tiny red heart appears to be growing out the end of each branch tip while a little bit of mosaic snow add a wintery accent.
The decanter features a pear tree design with an orange, white, and brown colored partridge perched on top. The tree is also created with the black mosaic style. Little lime green shaped tiles float around the decanter with tiny black stems sticking out- this represents the pears! All of the birds in this set are simple yet detailed with feathers, eyes, beaks, and feet. This is truly an elegant yet whimsical way to sip your wines during the wintery/holiday season!
**These glasses are dishwasher safe though I recommend a gentle hand wash when possible to further ensure their durability. I use a nontoxic glass paint that is heat set for scratch proof resistance.
