What better way to usher in Spring than crocheting a whole bouquet of these bright yellow Daffodils and bring lots of sunshine and warmth into your home or office :)
The Daffodil, aka Narcissus, symbolises rebirth and is synonymous with Spring. It is March birth flower and the 10th wedding anniversary flower.
As the first flower of spring, the daffodil is the American Cancer Society's symbol of new life and hope that a cure for cancer will be found.
Always present these flowers in a bunch (never singly) for good fortune and to ensure happiness.
Each stalk measures about 10 inches (25.4cm) long and the flower has a diameter of 4 inches (10.2cm).
For this PATTERN, you will need to know how to slip stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, decrease, working in the rounds and working in rows.
This PATTERN consists of 8 pages. It comes with many pictures detailing the flower crocheted at different stages.
The acrylic yarn I used is 18 wraps per inch and is categorised under 'fine/laceweight' yarn. Wraps per inch (or WPI) is a measure of the grist or the thickness of a yarn.
Please convo me or email me at amy_lim60 [!at] hotmail.com if you have any questions. I will be more than happy to assist you should you encounter any problems during crocheting.
