Dave has made this unique 1.8 ounce bottom whorl drop spindle from the burr of a moose antler. There is only one burr at the base of each antler (two per moose), and they are very heavy and dense. Dave decided this notched 2 inch whorl was so heavy it was best used as a bottom whorl. The ebony shaft measures 10 inches in length, which includes the brass hook.
