This kit contains a printed copy of the Mostly Marvelous Ms. Rabbit sewing pattern (full size pattern pieces and an eleven page photo tutorial that will walk you through the entire Ms. Rabbit making process) as well as nearly everything that you need to complete the project, including Heather Ross designed double gauze for the ears and legs.
The kit includes:
* Sewing pattern, printed as a hard copy and packaged in a lovely large, blue envelope for safe storage.
* Pre-cut fabrics for easy sewing. The cutting has all been done for you! Just put the pieces together and sew and you'll have a delightful rabbit all stitched up in no time at all. This particular kit contains beige linen as the main body color and a combination of printed Japanese cotton fabric and Japanese printed Heather Ross double gauze for the arms, legs and ears. Also included is pre-cut heavy weight interfacing for making Ms. Rabbit's ears.
* Necessary notions for completing your rabbit. You will receive four wooden buttons for attaching the arms and legs to your rabbit, as well as two pre-cut felt circles for eyes and soft pink embroidery thread for the nose. These items are all tucked into a handstamped muslin bag for safekeeping until use.
* One five-inch long doll needle. You'll need this for attaching the arms and legs to your rabbit. Through much trial and error I have found that not all doll needles are created equal. The needle included in this kit is super strong and very sharp and will make your creative process so much easier as a result!
* Bits of brightly colored 100% wool felt for making Ms. Rabbit's scarf and for cutting flowers for her belly.
The finished Mostly Marvelous Ms. Rabbit is about 14 inches tall (not counting her lovely little ears) and has movable button limbs. Instructions are included for attaching limbs and making perky ears as well as outfitting Ms. Rabbit with a sweet little scarf and delicate flower details made from wool felt.
This is a fun project for sewers of nearly any level. The pattern does assume some sewing experience but if you are new to sewing and want to dive in, feel free to contact me with any questions!
