1 package kidney beans-rinsed
1 16oz canned tomatoes
1 lb ground beef
1 8oz can tomato sauce
6 slices bacon-diced
1 packet Souper Spices Chili Blend
1-2 jalapeño diced
Sour cream & cheddar cheese to garnish
1/2 cup yellow or green pepper
3 C boiling Water
Preheat slow cooker to high and add tomatoes, rinsed beans,sauce and peppers. (We want everything hot to speed up the cooking process) Meanwhile, brown bacon and hamburger-drain then add to crock with boiling water. Cook 4/5 hours on high only.

**Due to the demand for slow cooker recipes, I have converted my dry mixes from the previous stove top directions. Stove top directions will be included with each item under the new slow cooking method.
*Stove top Directions: Rinse and sort beans/peas. Place beans in a large pot with 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes. Turn off heat, cover and let beans soak for an hour. (You can also soak beans overnight in 4 cups of water) Drain and rinse.
In a skillet, brown bacon and remove. Brown ground beef in bacon drippings and remove. Next add peppers and sauté until soft. In a large pot, add tomatoes and tomato sauce along with all the other ingredients and mix well. Simmer for 45 minutes. Top with the shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream.
