Vintage Lipstick Hanky with Kitty
From carpebellus
An unusual embroidered handkerchief for discreet lipstick touchups. These hankies were used in powder rooms and dinner parties so women could blot their lipstick without staining white dinner napkins. Hence the overall deep red color. This one has a cute kitty cat positioned between the words lip and stick. The hanky is made of a nice lightweight cotton and is trimmed on 2 edges with white. In a rectangular shape, it measures 6.5" by 12". It is in lovely condition, with no rips or stains. A wonderful collectible piece.
