I have layered peacock and rooster feathers with a vintage silver watch movement. The watch movement is from an Elgin pocket watch made in 1924, serial number 27808916. Watch gears enamel flowers are layered upon the watch movement plate. The flowers glow in metallic copper and aqua. The feather assemblage is built upon a vintage brass stamping.
The opposite side of the necklace showcases a repurposed Virgin Mary brooch. The back of the brooch has been clipped and filed down. Layers of draped chain give this piece modern energy. The chain features links in blue and green enamel, moonglow lucite beads, and faux pearl beads. A row of aqua chandelier crystals add glam to the necklace.
The necklace drapes around the back of the neck with vintage green enamel chain and Czech glass beads in shades of blue.
The gold filigree brooch is 1.25 inch wide (3.2 cm). The feather assemblage is 4.75 inches from the inside of the stamping to the edge of the feathers (12.1 cm). The length around the neck through the shortest layer of chain is 20 inches (50.8 cm). The extender provides an extra 2.25 inches in length (5.7 cm). The chain links on this necklace allow you to wear it shorter than 20 inches if you choose, it is incredibly versatile in length.
