This vintage jewelry box is complete with a secret compartment! (see photo) Possibly to hide a little money, or some small treasure!

Box measures 10" x 7" x 3 1/2" tall.

It has a working latch, with slide button opener. It has no key.

Jewelry box is lined with dark green velvet. It features four compartments in the top tray, and a ring area in center.

The bottom inside is all one open space. There is a fabric tab in the front inside to lift up the false bottom to access the secret compartment.

There is a little wear in the velvet on the bottom inside.(see photo)

The outside is covered with a faux leather looking fabric.

I think my mom used to call it "linseed cloth".

There is a small black spot on the top , and a little worn spot on the right lower front.

The outside bottom is covered with green leather grained paper.
