I've taken an image from a vintage medical book - a cross section of a heart - and turned it into a 1" charm. Hanging from an 18" adjustable, multi-strand navy blue necklace, the charm is gloss-coated for protection, and has two blood-red beads hanging on the nearby strands.
Charms are coated with a thick gloss to protect the image, but they are not liquor-friendly and I do suggest you try to keep them dry!
