The ears themselves are crocheted in green acrylic yarn with green wire crocheted around the outside to make the ears stiff and give them the ability to be shaped differently (just bend them gently to adjust them). The ears are sewn onto a crocheted black acrylic yarn headband that knots in the back, making it easy to get on and off your head. One of the ears has a black jump ring earring.
The entire headband is about 44 1/2" (113 cm) long and there is about 11 1/2" (29.2 cm) between each ear (this is the top of the head measurement). The ears are 4" (10.2 cm) long from inner-ear to ear tip and are 2 1/2" (6.4 cm) tall.
To wash these, I'd recommend handwashing gently in warm water, being careful with the ears so the crocheted-in wire doesn't pop out of the stitch.
