Shouldn't every little girl have a pleated skirt? With many variations, the schoolgirl pleated skirt can be made with lots of pleats or just a few, with or without button accents, and in a single fabric or with contrasting fabric(s).
Tutorial instructs on 8 pleats for 2T-4T. Skirt has elastic in the back only, for easy dressing and a polished, flat-waist look in the front.
Pattern includes 9 pages of detailed instructions with pictures for every step.
***NOTE: This pattern is for sizes 2T through 4T. Included: 2T, 3T, and 4T. I also have the pattern available in other sizes (e.g., 0-18 months)--see my shop.
Materials needed:
Fabric (quilting-weight cotton, corduroy, denim): 1/2 yard
Contrast fabric: 1/3 yard
Elastic: 10 inches of 1/2-, 3/4-, or 1-inch elastic
Optional buttons: 8 buttons
