This wee sunflower child lives in the meadow. Her story is yet to be told.

This design is part of my "Children of Nature" series. These open-ended toys allow children come up with their own stories and scenarios about them and encourage imaginative play and storytelling. They are also great to display on a nature table as the seasons change.

Handcut hardwood poplar with woodburnt details. Sunflower child was given her colors with AP certified non-toxic water based paints, handsanded and then coated with beeswax and organic jojoba oils for sheen and to protect the wood. All edges are sanded buttery smooth, ready to be loved by small hands.

All nature children measure 3" - 4" tall.

Pint sized mason jar shown for scale.

Photos in listing are of a previously sold sunflower child but one has been made for you with just as much care! As with all individually handcrafted items, they all vary slightly and have their own personalities.

This is part of my Autumn 2010 line. Designs are seasonal and in very limited quantities.
