We hand shaped these 3 Wooden Utensils out of Black Walnut.
The Spoon is approximately 6 1/8 inches (15.557 cm) long.
The Fork is approximately 7 1/8 inches (18.097 cm) long.
The Knife is approximately 7 3/4 inches (19.685 cm) long.
We were not happy with the store bought plastic utensils. So we decided to make our own. One spoon, one fork and one knife.
There are 3 coats of food safe mineral oil which will show off the beauty of the wood, as well as help protect it. We sanded in between each coat so the finish silky smooth.
The Wooden Utensils listed are the ones you will receive.
These are not meant to be put in the dishwasher. These are not meant to be left in water for long periods of time. They just need some mild detergent and water to clean. It would also be good to apply a little mineral oil every 3 – 6 months. By doing this, your Wooden Utensils will be something you can pass from generation to generation.
