I shaped the crown of this cloche on a vintage wooden block and added the two pleats by hand. Then I shaped the brim out of the same ivory felt and sewed it onto the crown. The short brim makes this hat very easy to wear. An adjustable grosgrain ribbon band finishes the inside of the hat.
The wide taupe satin ribbon was made in France in the 1930s and has a gorgeous look and feel. The flower is made of gauzy ivory petals and is accented with a few small ivory feathers. The resulting combination is a soft and romantic hat with a great vintage look.
This hat has an interior measurement of just under 22 inches (55cm), or a size 7. The adjustable band on the inside of the hat allows it to be adjusted to a smaller size.
