Watermelon Bowl hand built stoneware pottery

This handmade shallow bowl is the beginning of my watermelon series. I stamped scrolls on the bottom, which is glazed green like a rind. The inside is glazed in a spattered pattern with lead free, food safe glazes. I put three feet on the bottom, so the bowl is not wobbly and it shows off the bottom pattern. I love how cute this is, and can't wait to serve cut fruit in my watermelon bowls! This one is 6" D and 1 3/4" H.
It can be used safely with food and in a dishwasher, oven or microwave.

It is perfect for a housewarming gift, as a teacher gift, or for anyone who loves whimsy (maybe even yourself!). I'm sort of in love with this piece and can't wait to make more.
