it is completely handowven using soft 100% cotton yarn.
the stunning saffron gold color of it is obtained using natural plant dyes, simple yellow onion peels!!! the color obtained this way is bright and saturated, and ages very well.
there are slight irregulareties in the weave and coloring, which are due to the complete handmadeness of the cloth.
the design is quite simple, a loose fitting tunic, with two wide silk bands sewn in the sides. these can be worn tied behind or in front or any way that pleases you, there are quite a few possible variations.
the short fringe is from the cutting of the end of the piece of fabric. I crocheted the hems with the same cotton yarn
30 inches long, excluding the fringe (77 cm) fringe is an extra 3.5 inches.
40 inches around the bust, waist and hips. the tyes allow for a perfect custom fitting.
