Shield is made of Birch plywood with a Northern White Cedar handle that is riveted at three points for maximum sturdiness. Piece measures 11"W x 14"H (from tip to tip).
This shield is left natural (no finish or artwork)...Be Creative! Make it your own! Paint, stencil, or wood burn your own emblem OR simply leave it blank. Blank is actually a really nice option! It allows your child to see what it might look like in his/her mind's eye (kind of like a dolly with no face). And the beauty of it all is that you can change your emblem in a moment's notice! Paint or no paint, this shield can provide hours of creative play.
Sword is Made of Maple with a leather sheath and linen strap. The sword measures 19" long and the strap is approximately 53" inches long. Perfect size for your little knight! This sword is finished with beeswax, coconut oil, vitamin E oil, and essential oil of Lemon.

Care and Feeding of Your New Wood Piece:
Wood is like tree skin and needs to be cared for like your skin. In the case of cuttingboards or other wood items needing a cleaning, wash only with mild soap and warm water (No harsh detergents, other nasties, or dishwashers).
Oil your wood piece frequently with a foodsafe oil such as Olive, Walnut or Mineral oil. Wood dries out like skin and needs to be kept moisturized. For any and all of our wood products, we recommend using some sort of salve or natural finish.
Make your own OR try our homemade version: "Wood Mojo". This is a natural wood finish made from beeswax (locally harvested from bees raised with love!), coconut oil, vitamin E oil, and therapeutic grade lavendar essential oil. Please see our shop to view this item.
