This is a high quality, professionally printed archival inkjet Giclee reproduction of an original painting, printed with pigmented inks on Somerset Velvet rag paper.
Paper size: 14" tall x 11" wide (35.5 cm x 28 cm)
Image size: 12" tall x 9" wide (30.5 cm x 23 cm)
There is a 1" white border around the image. The paper has a pleasing matte finish, and is similar in texture to watercolor or printmaking paper. The print is titled and signed on the front (in pencil right beneath the image). It is a standard size - finding the perfect frame for it will be a breeze!
The original painting is 20" tall x 15" wide, made in 2008 with encaustic medium (beeswax), oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, sheet music, ticket stubs, pieces of my Spanish lessons, stamps, and photocopy transfers of photographs I took in Mexico and Guatemala.
This piece was inspired by time I spent in Mexico and Guatemala, studying Spanish and learning about indigenous struggles for justice & autonomy in their communities. It is filled with personal collage elements and is very dear to me.
Your print will be carefully packaged and shipped flat in a protective clear sleeve with cardboard backing. I create, handle, wrap, and ship all my work with utmost care & respect.
Professional, high-quality inkjet prints of most of my paintings are available in a size of your choice. Please let me know if you are interested in ordering a print of a different piece or size.
