He is approximately 8 1/2 inches tall (not including the stem) and measures 23 1/4 inches around his widest point.

He is stained orange to match your Halloween decor and sealed for protection.

He will be your favorite Halloween decoration and you will use him year after year.

ABOUT GOURDS:
--------------------------------
There is an old legend that says, "If you give or receive a gourd... with it goes all the best in life... health, happiness, and other good things." (Marvin Johnson Gourd Museum, Fuqua Varina, NC)

What on earth is a gourd? A gourd is the fruit of certain members of the cucurbitaceous family, which also includes pumpkins, squash, cucumbers, and all the melons.

Archaeological discoveries in such arid places as the pyramids of Egypt and ancient cave sites in the Andes Mountains of Peru provide fascinating proof that human beings have been using gourds for Millennia.

Gourds were among our first lightweight containers, allowing us to hold water and precious seeds, nuts and other foods. When we learned how to make clay pots, it was only natural to imitate in clay the shapes of gourds that we knew so well.
