This is a crochet pattern to make the booties pictured.
The pattern includes instructions for 4 sizes, as follows:
Size 0 (Newborn; sole measures 3.25 inches long by 2 inches wide)
Size 1 (3 months; sole measures 3.75 inches long by 2 inches wide)
Size 2 (6 months; sole measures 4 inches long by 2.25 inches wide)
Size 3 (9 months; sole measures 4.5 inches long by 2.25 inches wide)
Adjusting the guage will give a greater range of sizes - for example, using a smaller hook and making size 0, I end up with a bootie that measures 3" long, which I consider "preemie" size.

Materials required:
two colors of worsted weight yarn ("Vanna's Choice" was used for the booties in the pictures)
E (3.5mm) crochet hook
four buttons
needle for sewing
