The real butterfly is encased in glass and silver alloy. The large necklace measures 6" across by 3.5". The wings are soldered at a slight angle, to mimic the natural curve of the body, for a comfortable and beautiful fit. The cool sterling silver chain length is about 16" and is easily adjustable.
The butterflies and moths I use are farmed all over the world, and collected when naturally expired. None are killed for use in my jewelry.
