This "Ghost corset" is a 1600th Century Elizabethan corset. Peach silk with silk screened/hand painted Japanese ghost lantern on front with painted cherry blossoms on sides and back. Corset features 3 layers: a silk satin imported fashion fabric, a corset coutil strength layer, and a cotton lining. Made with 30 steel bones. It has double-reinforced grommets up the back inserted into lacing bones for moderate to tight lacing-typically about a 3-4" reduction in the waist!), and may be worn for fashion or as a historically-accurate garment.Corset is bound with 1/2" black satin bias binding and comes with 3 yards of black lacing.
This particular garment is dry-clean only due to it's silk content. It is not recommended for extreme tight lacing.
Custom made corsets are not returnable. Once I have received measurements and payment I cannot make any changes to the order. Since an in-person fitting is not possible I will send you a mock up of the corset. . A mock up is a lightly boned, single layer, scrap fabric version of your corset that you can try on and mark with any alterations you would like me to make to the pattern before I finish your corset. Please contact me for more information about adding a mock up to your order.
