This is one earring that connects from the earlobe to the upper cartilage of the ear, with a pierced post earring on either end of a green, red, and silver chain. The colors and horse charm I used were inspired by Rohan and the Rohirrim in "The Lord of the Rings" (particularly the color of their armor and their banner) and I added a Celtic knot because that seemed appropriate for an Anglo-Saxon/Old English influenced culture.

The earring is made from green and red enameled copper wire and bright aluminum wire (the silver color). I twist and cut the wire for the earrings myself, so there are some places in the copper rings where the copper color shows through where it was cut. It isn't very noticeable, though, but this is just a heads up so you know.

At the end of the earring are a pewter winged horse charm, a pewter celtic knot bead, and a round green glass bead. The earring parts are two silver-colored metal post earrings. The entire ear-piece is 3 1/2" (8.9 cm) long from top earring ball to the bottom of the horse charm, and is 2" (5.1 cm) long from earring post to earring post.

This earring can be worn in either ear.
