While in Cap Rouge, drawing different views of the trestle, I found another spot by the water where I undertook this painting.
(The rail-only trestle steel bridge named "Tracel" was built in 1907-1908. The steel bridge spans almost 3,500 feet at an average of 172 feet above ground and is still in use today.)
12” X 16” original oil painting using a trowel (palette knife) by Shirley Levie
The colors of this painting are much deeper in reality.
All my paintings are signed originals on canvas and created with archival materials. I use premium grade oil paints and all paintings are made on high quality 100% cotton premier canvas with a tight even stretch for archival stability and durability.
The sides of the canvas (3/4 inch) are painted black so that it can be hung without a frame.
