The pen is black with a 14K gold nib. The nib says Eversharp, 14K, Made In USA. The backside of the pen also says Eversharp, Made In USA. The pen unscrews in 2 places and reveals a bladder to hold the ink. There is a lever for filling which is gold and there is a gold band. Pen is 7 1/2 inches long.
The base is gleaming black onyx and measures 3 7/8 X 3 5/8 inches.
The piece is near perfect as far as I can tell though I have not tried to use it. The nib shows signs of previous use.
Would make a wonderful gift for the pen collector or for anyone who has a desk job and needs to sign off on items. Perhaps add this to your own desk and get lost in the long gone art of letter writing, or pen that novel you always dreamed of writing. This set is pure poetry.
