"Harvey Berin designed by Karen Stark" label. Early 1950's. The popular Berin/Stark label was known for excellent fit and construction with couture details. The fabric is silk twill with a satin finish - a charmuese. Cream background with black oval dots which are large in size at outer perimeters of dress, and gradually get smaller toward the center. The collar is notched, the sleeves are cap style. The tiny self buttons are perfectly covered, and fasten into French bound button holes. Fitted, with very full skirt. Side metal zipper. I have the dress with a narrower version of a crinoline slip that is wider at the hem, I think this showcases the shape of the dress. The dress is just about in Mint condition, showing very very little wear. It has a dime sized shadow of a stain at one underarm, a tiny speck spot on back bodice, and is missing original belt. Size small/Tall. Measures 15 1/2" shoulder to shoulder edge, 36" bust, 26" waist, free hips, 16 1/2" shoulder to waist, 30" waist to hem.
