My recent animal drawings are inspired by the exhilarating originality of the Lascaux cave paintings. The work has grown to include modern creatures, ruminating on the forms of both animals and insects. The figures are very simplified and explore line, form, texture and color. The Lascaux work seeks to explore, from my perspective, the originality of their line, shape and form. In either case, it’s an attempt to capture some of the spirit in animals that has nourished humankind for thousands of years.

Print is from an original pastel drawing. This print is 8x10" and printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag archival paper using a high quality printer and inks. Each print is signed and sold unframed, ships flat in protected sleeve.
