This was a favorite Parisian Prints towel design. I call it “Pixel People” because of the little squares that make up the pictures. It was probably supposed to be reminiscent of needlepoint. A woman and man stand with their musical instruments. Lute? Zither? She seems to have wooden shoes. I get a chuckle out of their tiny faces … are they ghostly? Or are they puppies?

The towel is vintage, probably from the late 1960s. I hand washed it, air dried it, and pressed it lightly. I did not find any big stains or spots. In Photo 4, keys point at the 3 spots I have found.
