The tops are OVAL more than round. They are cut from basswood and are completely level. I cover them in 4-5 layers of polycrylic which is a MATTE finish and very low toxicity and makes for easy clean up so you can use your cake stand many times over! The bases are made from reclaimed wood. They are thoroughly dried and treated before assembly.
I began making these for my own wedding and want to spread the joy! These add the perfect rustic touch to your wedding cake or decorations. After the wedding is over you can use them to decorate your home! The ones I'm keeping are in a bookshelf with books and vintage cameras on top, as well as on my kitchen table with a vase with fresh picked flowers on top. Would be great for outdoor entertaining like a garden party!
