Rare vintage two piece gold lame swimsuit with matching gold netted lame top with rhinestone trim. This is the original 50s lame, thick and strong and golden metallic. This little number is sure to get you noticed! Most certainly not meant for swimming but lazing around the pool waiting for your photo to be taken and the cabana boy to fetch you another cocktail...The top is made of matching gold lame and a golden fishnet material, the top is boat necked with three rows of prong set rhinestones. The bottom of the top also features a row of rhinestones and each sleeve is 3/4 rowed with rhinestones (otherwise you would catch them on everything) it has large hidden metal snaps down the back for closure. The swimsuit features a very long back metal zipper and boning galour! It is super clean inside and it looks to have been reboned and supported at one point (see photos) my beau remarked that you certainly wouldn't slip out of this number, it really will hug your curves and cinch you in. There are two flesh colored straps that you can remove if you like. I found one hole in the net material near the bust and a teeny tiny area of wear on top of the right bust wear the boning is - both are not noticeable especially when worn together. I have never seen an outfit like this before.
The top measures approx. 20" across from underarm to underarm and across the bottom. The sleeves are approx. 21" long and it is 16" from shoulder seam to shoulder seam and 24" long. I think this is supposed to be worn a little loose and sleeves have a little bit of flare near the bottom.
The suit is approx. 34" at the bust with room for a good cup size, I would think you need be at least a B and could really fill this out if you are larger (it is boned) The waist measures 26" but you should be smaller than this as there isn't any stretch, and the hips are approx. 34"
Perfect outfit for a performer, model or any poolparty or rockabilly event!
