As the autumn leaves begin to fall, the Fern Fairy walks softly through the woods, checking on all her woodland friends and tucking them in for the winter. On her head she wears a mossy green cloche, adorned with embroidered ferns and tattered linen "moss".
This hat is one-of-a-kind, environmentally friendly, lovingly made, and fairy approved. The hat is made from the lovely mossy green linen fabric of an up-cycled dress. The hat lining was made from green satin, all the ferns were hand embroidered by me! :-)
Hat Size: Medium ( 22”-23”in)
Not sure about head size? Measure head just above the eyebrows, about mid-forehead and above the ears. (If you don't have a soft tape measure, you can use a string and then match the string up to a ruler.)
My cloche hats are based of an authentic 1920’s pattern restored by the Vintage Pattern Lending Library, and used with their permission. Visit www.vpll.org for this and other great vintage patterns.
