Protectively wrapped with a rosewood hued stoned oil leather that tells a tale of the places it is has been ~ It retains small scratches and scuffs, though can be buffed "clean" with a soft cloth if you prefer. Overtime the leather will naturally become richer and darker in color, retaining a distressed timeworn aesthetic

This journal is made to order and will have slight variations from the photo shown. Due to the nature of leather color lots the cover may vary in tone--- from light to darker rose. All steps in the creation of this journal were approached the old world way using hand tools: awl, needle & thread, ruler, bone folders, manual hole punch & a steel blade. Made with careful consideration for the environment and lots of love slipped between the covers
