There really are two right sides to this knit so feel free to wear it with the smooth twisty side out or the tweedy bumpy side out. The flower brooch is made with vintage ecru and green lace and would look lovely on a coat or jacket lapel.
I've shown close ups of the knitted stitch on both sides. It reminds me of the forest floor after a rainstorm which brings to mind some wonderful earthy smells. There's an animal print quality to this too that's very stylish.
