Inspired by the rose or wheel windows of Gothic cathedrals, this beautiful Czech glass button reflects light in iridescent emerald greens and bright pinks, with a trace of blue and purple in the right light. Stained glass windows in cathedrals were used to bring light into the church (and light was a precious commodity inside buildings at the time), but also to inspire awe at the color and grandeur - cathedrals were a glimpse of heaven.
The filigree wrap medallion is almost 2" across (very large for one of these kinds of buttons, and I haven't found another like it yet), and the necklace is 18".
