The underside of the Leopard Lacewing is one of the most ornate in the butterfly world. Some species of this group of butterflies are called the Batik Lacewing due to the lacey pattern of the under side of the wings, which resembles the traditional Malay style of painting called Batik.

I am a conservation biologist who creates museum quality framed insects that hope to instill some sense of wonder about the natural world. After working in various entomology departments throughout the world, I decided to create my own educational insect displays in order to follow my passion, educate others, and showcase the amazing creatures I love.
