This scarf is a perfect choice for fall and winter. Hand knitted of a very good quality yarn (wool and alpaca mix) it will keep you warm through the cold season.
To create the piece I have used a traditional aran cable pattern. Aran patterns take their name from the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland, where it originated many generations ago.
The cable pattern is said to be a wish for safety and good luck when fishing.
Aran knitting is a beautiful and unique style of knitting that is popular all over the world.
