The handle is wood and is covered with gold buckskin that I applied in a spiral. A black leather tie with turquoise glass beads add to its beauty.
You can place your prayers into this feather then put it outside for the wind to carry them to the Great Spirit.
Smudging is a cleansing ceremony in which sage or cedar is burned and the smoke is fanned onto a person, object, or area.
All the feathers that I use have been steamed and sanitized.
