Connection no. 1 is embroidered in charcoal and olive and mustard yellow on beautiful homespun linen that is between 80-120 years old. There is a red and blue thread connecting the hearts of the two women symbolizing that no matter how far apart they are their profound connection remains. The porcelain doll arms are from Germany and were dug from the earth from the grounds of an old doll factory that operated between 1890-1920. The piece is framed in a vintage metal embroidery hoop that is 9 inches wide and 4 3/4 inches tall. The piece is backed with wool felt and is signed and dated on the back. It hangs with a simple rayon ribbon.

This is a made to order item so please allow one week for completion prior to shipping. If you'd like different colors please let me know as I am happy to oblige.

If you'd like to read more about the history of the linen you can check out my blog post about it here: http://marysgranddaughter.blogspot.com/2009/06/look-what-i-found.html
