This is a beautiful 40mm red jasper stone donut with my own designed Bronzclay leaf. A 6mm matching red jasper bead is attached with the leaf to the 3mm black cotton cord by a 14k gold-filled locking jump ring. Findings and lobster clasp on the cord are also 14K gold-filled. Cord is 22 inches (55.9 cm) long with the pendant adding another 1 3/4 inches (45 mm) in length.
This piece reminds me of the setting sun in the fall when the leaves are falling from the trees and all is peaceful.
Bronzclay is a clay medium with bronze particles suspended in a binder. The Bronzclay is then fired in a kiln for approximately 9 hours where the binder is burned off and the bronze particles are sintered to form a solid bronze piece. I then coat the cord and bronze pendant in Renaissance wax to protect and seal the piece.
