I used a fine sock yarn to weave this colorful, lightweight shawl. The yarn shades from orchid to grass green to aqua to white and back again making for a very eye-catching shawl.
Solid weaving is alternated with open weaving to give it a light and lacey look.
The warp threads of purple, white and green are visible in the open weaving sections and add stripes that run the length of the shawl.
The multi-colored fringe is twisted and double knotted.
Some of my customers have told me they like to use these types of shawls as table runners and I know of one buyer who uses hers draped over the back of her sofa. Let your imagination go where it will!
