Who's Galileo Galilei?
Galileo's accomplishments include improvements to the telescope; and the subsequent astronomical observations. Galileo is also known for his support of Copernicanism and he discovered the four largest satellites of Jupiter, known as the Galilean moons.
This print depicts a colorful Galileo set against a blue background, next to the four satellites of Jupiter. Galileo reminds us that we must look to ourselves in order to gain knowledge.
