Dancing Silver Maple Leaves Necklace

This necklace features three of my silver maple leaves that I've etched into sterling silver, hand cut with my jeweler's hand saw and gently formed to give them life and dimension. I've oxidized and hand finished the leaves and I've given them a brushed finish. The three leaves are connected with tiny sterling silver rivets to allow movement. Each leaf measures approximately 5/8" x 5/8". A 15 inch oxidized sterling silver chain is attached to the two end leaves for a total length of approximately 17 inches.

This is a special, delicate piece inspired by the Silver Maple Tree in my backyard. Care should be taken to prevent its pointy parts from snagging on clothing and hair.
