The spine (or binding) is folded, much like an origami figure, and no adhesive is required.
The kit includes 2 pages of instruction plus materials to make one 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" Blizzard bound book. The materials are japanese washi paper for the cover and spine, 6 cream colored blank pages, and a silk ribbon tie. The cover paper is patterned and the spine paper is a solid color (see 3rd photo for paper included in kit).
You'll need a bone folder (to crease the folds you make in the spine and cover) and an xacto knife (to cut 2 slits in the cover spine for the ribbon tie) to make the books.
