A miniature cemetery scene rests on the recessed lid of this decorative and functional gothic storage box. A bone and skull bench is the focal point of the cemetery. A stone paper creates a path leading to the bench, on either side are gravestones surrounded by moss and then aged with a bit of lichen. There is a skeleton hand reaching out of one grave with a skull resting nearby and on the other side is a skeleton halfway out of the ground enjoying the view. The box itself is a nice roomy box great for storing all kinds of items. The outside is stained black with a coat of matte varnish over it. The inside is painted a deep grey and the top and bottom are decoupaged with the stone print paper with gravestones over it. This box is great for a memento mori or day of the dead type altar you can keep votive candles, incense, or other supplies on hand while celebrating the spirit of the altar, you can use it to hold Tarot cards or display the box in any room that needs a bit of dark décor to complete it.
