This necklace was inspired by the three beautiful oxidized sterling silver vintage components at its center. They are highly detailed and look like wreaths of leaves with bows at the bottom. The three black freshwater pearls that are wire wrapped to either side add texture and depth to the piece. The components are connected to one another with three brass jumprings. A sterling silver filigree teardrop with an opal cabachon hang completes the romantic, symmetrical shape. The sterling silver chain and components are of very high quality.
This piece is considered an “upcycle” because I took apart older jewelry pieces to complete it. The teardrop is a former earring and the wreath components and chain belonged to a different, less palatable necklace. The recycled components come together to make a necklace that is completely and totally one-of-a-kind.
