I designed this set to accompany the book “Freight Train” by Donald Crews. A multicolored freight train comes down the track. Each car is named from the back forward, with its appropriate color: red caboose, orange tank car, yellow hopper car, etc., until the black engine is reached. The train moves faster, through cities, tunnels, night and day, faster and faster until it is gone.
As an added bonus I will include a cute train coloring activity that I created to go with the set. The children will love working on this activity with the story!!!!!
Felt sets are great teaching tools for literacy. Children will love becoming involved with the story and learning new concepts.
Each set comes in a large labeled Ziploc bag.
